Headlights to turn on with engine

That’s probably the simplest way to do it.

    Diesel Bug

Never heard of it to be honest but it does make sense that you’ve got a restriction in the fuel supply.. can you not run on it through on v power diesel and some extra additives for a few tankfuls and then maybe another fuel filter change and see if it clears up?

Puff of smoke at start up

Potentially yes but there is no real known issue of head gasket failure on these engines. They’re highly capable of huge miles with basic regular maintenance. Don’t panic :)

Puff of smoke at start up

Actually I’m not sure if the Accord gives a low coolant warning, but I wouldn’t rely on that anyway even if it did, worth checking and keeping an eye on it. If it’s just a small wisp of white smoke on first startup and no other issues or loss of fluids, I wouldn’t be overly concerned. Even cold...

Puff of smoke at start up

White smoke would normally indicate a bit of water vapour is getting into the combustion chamber.. if it was dark grey or black I would say unburnt fuel, and if blue then engine oil. Is the engine losing any coolant?

TIMING CHAIN: A few questions if I may

If there is no noise and if you can check the tensioner for any play or slack in the chain, I would leave it well alone.

    It's back !!!

Fingers crossed Rod. A faulty or dirty MAF wouldn’t trigger a low boost error though. Sounds like intermittent sticking vanes, personally I would give it a regular thrashing to keep the vanes moving freely.

Puff of smoke at start up

Is the smoke fuel or oil? From experience I would say your dpf have been removed and not correctly remapped. You may also have a cracked egr or missing cat.

Accord Euro R Vibration Issues - Any Thoughts?

I’m good Mike, hope you are too. It’s going back a few years and he just got lucky as we found a driveshaft pretty cheap and offered it up to see if it would fit. I don’t think you can tell from the part numbers. The important thing is to ensure it’s a genuine Honda part..

Accord Euro R Vibration Issues - Any Thoughts?

We had this on my kid brothers Euro R when he ran one and it was the near side driveshaft. From memory he managed to get one from a K24 and it was a straight fit, or one section of it was I think.

    It's back !!!

Your intake sensor error is most likely from the MAF being disconnected, probably when your manifold was being changed.. and the boost pressure error points to the original problem of a sticking turbo. I know they fixed it for free but they didn’t actually fix it..

    manifold and turbo removal

I’m sure porting the manifold might have helped but that issue you had was definitely a sticking turbo, glad it was a cheap fix.

    manifold and turbo removal

That’s great news Rod, so it was just sticking vanes in the end as suspected?

Diesel holding back at 3000 rpm

Try temporarily blanking your egr, it will throw an error but if the power resumes then you know that’s the issue. could also be intake flap, turbo or even bad injectors.

    Oil leak

Just spoke to him for you, £90 labour for both sides. He said he doesn’t need to drain all the fluid but it’s worth doing it all at the same time anyway so suggest you buy 3 litres of MTF3 and a pair of seals.

    Oil leak

I don’t get involved with mechanical work but drop me a PM and I’ll put you in touch with my mechanic. You’ll need to supply your own parts and any fluid.

    Won’t start

Pressure relief valve stuck open or injectors

    Oil leak

Gearbox shouldn’t need draining fully as the oil sits lower, just get a price for the seals they’re not a ridiculous amount and it’s 60-90 mins labour I would say. Just shop around.

    Oil leak

So it’s gearbox oil not engine oil? £120 is about right really, it’s an hours work for a competent garage. £380 is a rip off.
