    wheels

I think it’s going to look really odd if you don’t lower it, and given you’ll need to go to a pretty low profile (I was running 35 profile on 19s) then you’ll definitely have to sacrifice ride quality.

    wheels

8th gen wheels are normally et50 Rod but I believe et55 will clear the callipers so you should be ok. Just be mindful of tyre sizes as that’s a pretty wide rim, especially if you’ve lowered the car

5F10 unknown fault code, limp mode, seeking for advice

HDS will allow you to run functional tests on your injectors, turbocharger actuator, IMRC, EGR and Fuel pressure (checks high pressure pump, pressure relief valve and injectors to check the system is maintaining pressure at 3 different targets). If it fails any of these tests then you’ll have a...

5F10 unknown fault code, limp mode, seeking for advice

You might have a faulty water sensor, worth replacing to eliminate that. You’re looking at live data there but does your system allow you to run any functional tests?

5F10 unknown fault code, limp mode, seeking for advice

Dashboard diagnostic won’t provide any greater insight. Does your Delphi allow you to run any functional tests?

5F10 unknown fault code, limp mode, seeking for advice

Needs a thorough diagnostic and engine tests. Possibly fuel pressure, boost pressure or egr related yes.

    "Jerk" when under acceleration

If it’s leaking that bad I’m surprised you didn’t hear it ‘chuffing’ or at least smell it.

K24 engine in both the Mk7 and Mk8 2.4l petrol tourers.

I don’t have a solution for the R20 in the 8th gen, or the k20 in the older 7th gen I’m afraid. Gains are very limited anyway as these are not a full blown k20 as found in the ep3 or fn2 civic type R (I can tune the fn2 for example).

2005 Honda Accord Tourer 2.2i-cdti cranks but won’t start

I did actually already suggest this, it’s based on years of experience with these engines.

K24 engine in both the Mk7 and Mk8 2.4l petrol tourers.

Yep they’re not identical but both are bullet proof and seem to be massively up in value since all these emissions zones came in.

2005 Honda Accord Tourer 2.2i-cdti cranks but won’t start

Sorry I’m not clear on what you’ve done. You’ve replaced your egr valve and now the car isn’t starting? Was it new or used? Try blanking it again and see if it starts. If it does then your replacement is jammed open and is dud.

    "Jerk" when under acceleration

You might have an airlock after fitting the fuel filter, if it doesn’t bleed out itself then try priming the bulb and bleeding from the 10mm bolt on top of the filter a few times. That code is nearly always attributed to a fuel filter issue on these cars.

So now you know it’s your egr valve you can either replace the valve or get in touch with me for a permanent deactivation solution along with a nice power increase.

New 2.4L Manual Tourer Owner - What a machine!

Not sure on an 8th gen but on the 7th gen the fuel filter is part of the in tank pump ***embly. We changed it on my wife’s FRV K20 a few years back, a job well worth doing. https://typeaccord.co.uk/board/threads/honda-k20-fr-v-or-accord-fuel-filter-change.17450/ regarding the oil filter, just...

2005 Honda Accord Tourer 2.2i-cdti cranks but won’t start

So you’ve had P1401 I would say there’s your issue. You can’t actually clean them on these cars, try blanking it off and even though it will be in limp mode if your starting problem is cured you’ll know that your issue. I can provide a permanent solution if you want to go down that route.

2005 Honda Accord Tourer 2.2i-cdti cranks but won’t start

And have you replaced the fuel pressure relief valve? Are there any diagnostic errors or previous codes to go off? Any other running symptoms? Have you temporarily tried blanking the egr valve? A sticking valve will cause starting issues

MK8 DIESEL AUTOMATIC TOURER, got to change the fuel filter, got a genuine one, and the 15 flute tool, what I need is directions on how to go about do

it’s probably best done on a ramp as it’s underneath the car at the rear towards the fuel tank. It’s pretty straightforward once you’ve removed the plastic shroud, just take care to ensure you change all the rubber o rings that come with the new filter. Once fitted switch the ignition on and off...
