I would have changed the hoses first. Cheaper! Yes I had binding issues caused by hoses.

C3 oil will meet all the requirements of a C2 plus more so its a fine substitute

No stick with 0W-30. 5W is only thicker at cold start and its actually worse as you want a thinner oil at this point that gets to the vital components quicker.
