From another post: 1) Jump pins 4 and 9. (I removed obd socket by squeezing the bottom of the plug to remove it from its metal bracket, turned the obd connector around and put a paperclip in the 4th pin (black wire) and the 9th at the bottom (brown wire) ) 2) Press and hold the brake pedal and...

Do 7th Gens Suffer From Rust?

It's not bad, not a lot faster than my old 2.0 Tourer though. I would have kept the 2.0 but it was a manual and I hated it, I just don't see the point or why anyone would want to drive a manual..! I would imagine the Tourer's are a lot heavier than the MK6 saloon so the 2.4 is only going to be...

Do 7th Gens Suffer From Rust?

As to your other question, I have a 2.4 Auto Tourer now, currently has 185,000 on the clock and the engine and gearbox are still silky smooth. It's just starting to get little bubbles on the rear arches where they are prone to rust, but as it's 17 years old I can't really complain.

The tab the self leveling arm connects to slides off so you can put it on a strut without one fitted.

Replacing rear coil springs advice please, Mk7 Tourer

The bolt through the lower bush on your strut is going to be a bas#@rd to undo if you have not had your rear shocks off for a while. On my last tourer the bolts snapped even with heat. Put new struts on my current one this week, again nightmare job even with heat. If they are stuck you could...

    AT Oil Change

They say it's best to use Honda ATF although I read somewhere that some Honda dealers use Q8 ATF. In essence what you are doing is mixing good with bad oil, but after doing it 3 times there is more good than bad. It has to be done this way as there is a load of oil left in the torque converter...

    AT Oil Change

If its never been done you will need to do it 3 times. Drain and fill with 3L, drive for a bit and then repeat, do once more and you will be good to go.
