I know this is an old thread but can anyone point me in the right direction as to where can I get the most indicated repairs manual to change the chain?

Mine is definitely not like that... I have placed a refurbished alternator today and the noise is not as loud as it was before but still there... I also placed the short belt and a new tensioner... Only thing I got left with is the crank pulley and the water pump...

Was there any news on this? I think I have the same noise but only when engine warms up...

Many thanks for your reply! I have kind off an odd noise that only happens when engine warms up and at idle and not sure if the altenator pulley is the the culprit... I know that the pulley isn't good anyway as when I move it backwards I can see the alternator fan spining which it shouldn't...

The reason why I ask is because the noise I ear is only there after the engine warms up....

Hi accord_n22, Thanks for getting back to me. What I meant was, during normal operation of the car the alternator will not have to provide the same current all the time...for instance if you turn on your lights or the cooling fans turn on etc, the alternator will be asked more or less current...

Does this means that the battery is not charging all the the time and if the battery is topped up the regulator stops the alternator from changing the battery ?
