LCD Clock not changing with SatNav Clock

This could perhaps be a problem with the solder on the pins in the circuit board in the top display. I removed mine and cut away a small section of the white plastic to get to the pins. You can’t disassemble it to really get in there but I took a heat gun and gently heated it up. This seems to...

    Electric intermittently cutting out

Just wanted to update on this. I took a toothbrush and water with sodium bicarbonate in it and scrubbed a bit then dried. I then tightened up connections which were a little loose (and I mean really only a little). The problem seems to have gone.

    Electric intermittently cutting out

Hello, Glad to see you got back to me. I cleaned the battery terminals with hot water and baking soda as well as ground to chassis of car. It doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore. How do I test circuits and which circuits should I test ? I have a multimeter but don’t know what I should do here.

    Electric intermittently cutting out

Hello honda-saj, I see that your post is a few years old now but I'm throwing this out there hoping you might reply. I am having the same problem as described and got a check engine light and P0685 code which then disappeared and everything went back to normal. My connections seem to get quite...

Video interface and screen mirroring. has anyone installed something like this?

This was on a previous post...not sure how it works but seems to run a computer and use your OEM screen. (See final post) https://typeaccord.co.uk/board/threads/gen7-radio-change-to-satnav.21303/

2004 K20A6 (2.0l auto) high pressure power steering hose replacement

I just keep thinking to myself. Honda must have put that bracket there for a reason. Why don’t mechanics care enough to put things like that back. I’m a loyal customer there although I mostly use them as a self-garage.

2004 K20A6 (2.0l auto) high pressure power steering hose replacement

I just realized that I never gave an update...I attempted removing the hose myself but couldn't manage to undo one bolt. The one down low on the steering rack. It is surrounded by brake lines and I couldn't get a good grip on it with the tools I had. I ended up taking it to a shop with the parts...

    Pre-facelift to facelift conversion

I posted this in the gallery but thought it might be nice to add it here. I have also added a pick of the facelift steering wheel which I purchased for 35 euro bucks and is a much nicer looking wheel (notches at 10 and 2 and darker color on steering wheel controls). I refurbished the leather...

    Pre-facelift to facelift conversion

My next step is going to be installing LED footwell lighting. Any tips on how to do it... I would like to have them come on with door open and fade out when the door is closed like the dome light. However, I would also like to add a switch to turn them on while driving if needed. Any one out...

    Pre-facelift to facelift conversion

You can tell mine is a pre-facelift by the roof rails which on the pre-facelift are painted silver and slightly shorter in length as well as the front bumper, bonnet and headlights.

    Pre-facelift to facelift conversion

Hello everyone, I thought I would share my experience with you. I recently found a 2006 2.4 Honda Accord Tourer that was being sold for parts (for cheap) and decided to upgrade my 2004 2.0 litre Honda Accord Tourer. I was able to fit the side skirts without an issue even though one of the...

    Oil recommendations please

Thanks for the tip but I'm in France and costs would probably be prohibitive

    Oil recommendations please

I use Castrol 0W-30 C3 oil in my 2004 Accord Tourer K20A6. I have used this for the past three oil changes and the engine seems very happy after each oil change. I went to the dealer once to purchase oil and they gave me this exact one (not even packaged as Honda Oil). I buy Honda filters which...

Fixed - Clock and AirCon Top Display

Hello, Glad to see you’ve got it sorted. I had already fixed mine by taking out the display, cutting away some of the white plastic to get a heat gun on the solder points. I found that simply heating it up (but not too much) fixed the problem without having to dismantle everything and solder. I...

    Lower control arms.

Hello, I've been meaning to do this for a while now. I'm afraid I can't help you with your question about tightening bolts but was just curious to know what brand you went with for the lower control arms. I was told that it is worth doing both uppers and lowers as an alignment needs to be done...

Today I have been mostly..........new intermediate driveshaft fitting.

Hello, I see this was posted ages ago but I need to replace intermediate and outer shaft on my 2004 Honda Accord Tourer (2.0l Auto). The shaft has play in it and I suspect it is responsible for vibration I get through the accelerator pedal at speed and a lumpy feeling at low speeds sometimes as...

    20i-Vtec: Automatic Vs Manual

Aux and reversing camera are easy (and inexpensive) add-ons. I found a bluetooth/aux/usb add-on which plugs directly into an empty plug in the back of the stock radio (GPS version - not sure about others). I have a Tourer and knowing where the rear end is can be a bit tricky so I fitted a webcam...

2004 K20A6 (2.0l auto) high pressure power steering hose replacement

Also found this one which gives a better look at some of the brackets (although the person in the video is a bit of an idiot)

    New Accord Owner, Roof Rails?

Another tell-tale sign it is a facelift is that there is no chrome section on the bonnet. On pre-facelift cars there is a chrome piece mounted front and center on the bonnet itself which forms part of the grill. This is difficult to see in the photos but on the silver car you may see the upper...
