Apologies in advance as I know this has probably been asked before... I've seen a 2008 Tourer with 64k on the clock and full Honda service history (8 stamps in book), and I'm seriously considering part-exing my 7th gen for it. What should I look for when checking it out?

My 2007 car with 106k on the clock has started making a slight whining noise when the engine is warm. It changes pitch with the engine revs, and is a lot louder when turning. I suspect the power steering pump. How much can I expect to pay to have a new one fitted?

Found this on AutoTrader. What do you think? My first thoughts... the thick end of 3 grand for a 13 year old Accord with 140k on the clock? Erm, no. Last year I sold a 13 year old Accord with slightly more miles for £375. But, it is a Type R and it looks reasonably tidy.

I have a 2007 EX diesel with 69k on the clock. On the motorway at 60-70mph, sometimes if I give it a bootful the engine revs up but the car does not accelerate. i.e. the clutch is slipping. This only seems to happen occasionally. But it will accelerate up 45 degree hills without the clutch...

The trip computer has a mode that displays a bar graph of (near) instantaneous mpg. On my diesel, it goes from 0 to 60, and it hits the 60 when cruising on the flat, or downhill. Just idle curiosity, but do petrol models have the same scale?
