    Brake disc size

Sorry to correct Fahad but my 2.4 tourer definitely has 280mm rear - I know as I replaced myself and even measured to double check. Just wanted to clarify in case someone with a tourer read this thread and ordered 260's! I ordered my discs from brakeparts.co.uk - £110 front and rear including...

    Tourer roof water leak!

I changed out the gunk kit in the rear wheel well of my tourer for a space saver setup before I went away at the weekend and noticed a reasonable amount of water in the wheel well. Funny thing is I couldn't tell where it had come from as there are no missing grommets and there was a clear line...

    Too much oil?

I haven't found my K24 to use a lot of oil at all. In fact it's only needed one top up of around 750mls since I changed the oil last April. Will be changing again soon. I'd definitely recommend removing excess oil if the engine is overfilled rather than attempting to burn it off.

    FN2 Type R Gearbox on CL9 K24A3 ?

From what I've read the EP3 final drive is 4.785 and the FN2 is 5.06 - you may find the FN2 FD is a bit too short! Try the gear ratios calculator from gearboxman's site to see the effects.

    2.4 misfiring - cylinder 3

I'd second this. Even if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself get a garage to do it as per the recommended schedule. It made the world of difference to mine and could potentially save your engine. I was worried I may have burnt a valve while the valve clearances were out and eventually...

Aftermarket rear anti roll bar for 2.4 tourer

Damn...had suspected as much. Might nip any plans for mods on this car in the bud :-/

Aftermarket rear anti roll bar for 2.4 tourer

Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket rear ARB's available for the tourer? I know there's the Progress bar for the saloon but so far can't find anything for the tourer.

    2.4 misfiring - cylinder 3

Couple of pics for you...here's a pic showing the cams and the adjuster screws at the front (inlet valves). To adjust you simply undo the locking nut then set the screw with the feeler gauges and lock it down. Rear (exhaust) are easier to get to since there's nothing in the way. The fronts are a...

    2.4 misfiring - cylinder 3

Not too long a job at all in the end and now I've done it I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. May even do it once a year as part of yearly service! I would stick a couple of pics up here but not sure how?

    2.4 misfiring - cylinder 3

Thanks for all the replies guys! I checked the valve clearances and the exhaust valves were miles out at about 0.2mm. Adjusted to 0.28mm and cleared the codes - totally transformed the car. Low end torque is back in spades and there is no sign of a misfire. Fingers crossed I caught it before...

    2.4 misfiring - cylinder 3

My 2.4 just started misfiring after a 200 mile trip to down to London. Perfect drive all the way at a very steady pace as it was raining like mad. Get within a mile of where I'm going and I'm sat at a level crossing for 5+ mins waiting for a train to pass. All of a sudden the idle goes lumpy and...

    Tyre questions

I've got a set of the Goodyear AS2's on my car. Take note there are several variations so make sure you order the type you want. Mine are rated 69dB but A wet weather and C fuel economy. If you look at all AS2's on mytyres.co.uk they're also the cheapest variation in 225/45/17.

    Tourer exhaust

My 2.4 has begun to blow at the usual spot. Any ideas what I could be looking at for a replacement cost wise?
