2.2 idtec P0546 exhaust gas temperature circuit high bank 1?

Hi

2009 idtec 2.2. Has premier tuning stage 1 + egr + dpf off. It has a cat. Have been running a mellett cored rebuilt turbo which has been v noisy and failing turbo test on hds. Never had a cel though in 20000 miles.

Have just fitted a replacement used turbo, changed oil + filters today. Goes well, no untoward noises and passes hds turbo test.

However Ive had this issue appear today though when giving it a boot. It is a hot day and wanted to thrash the car to check all was ok.. I understand the o2 sensor may measure egt too? Obviously have had everything apart and back together but have checked all plugs etc and looks ok. Allowed to cool, cleared code and all appeared ok. I am sure it will be back!

Any ideas?

Ok tried to delete don't see a button anywhere. Forgot to plug in the egt sensor!! Its hisikg down there and easu to forget. D'oh.

I was going to say this is either a damaged egt sensor (seen it when cowboys have tried gutting the dpf and damaged the sensor), or sensor wiring damaged or not plugged in.

Looks like it was just the latter for you.
