2012 Accord CW2
Hi everybody,
my car (type S) came with stock 235/45r18 wheels,. I sold those and I am running 225/50r17 wheels now.
I was thinking of undersizing for my next set and going 215/55r17 98W that is spot on in circunference to the original 235/45r18.
Has anyone tried this, should't be OK as far as I keep the load and speed rating? thinking about the handling here...

In my opinion i would stick to what Honda recommended for the wheels fitted ie: your 18's or the correct tyres for the 17's as at the end of the day it's these small bits of rubber stopping you falling off the road or worse a crash, then the insurance may be an issue of none standard wheel/ tyre combination!
For what its worth I run 225/50/17 continentals at about £120 a corner, may be a bit expensive for some but what price is safety?

If they have the same rolling radius as the original stype wheels that your car was designed to run with you shouldn't have any issues. It's not like your changing any sizes massively.
