Things I've bought / done so far

Seats are 300zx seats, cost me £10 with local collection, get in

The wheels are temp / winter wheels just 14x6, et30ish

Steering wheel is an isotta from the early 90s so fairly period correct and was given to me

Oh wow! Those wheels are sick!

As Steve said, wheels are off the chain. Good work ;)

Yeah not bad for £100 delivered eh ;]

Would still love a set of the wheels off my other car for one of these but they never made them in a suitable size :[

I've got 6 of those in 13x6, 2 are 4x114.3 and the others are 4x101.6 but I can't seem to get another full set, they're too uncommon :[ I'd like to have a set of the 14" ones split and widened, 6 isn't wide enough! Properly split too, not banded. I think they'd look amazing on the 'deck!

Been a while since I posted and a bit has happened so I'm going to copy paste my posts from the Lude forum!

The few things I can report on are that I got the wheels I'd had my eye on for christmas [just need a refurb now!] and the adapters I need for my birthday...

The wheels are really nothing special to note, I'm a big fan of 'turbo' style wheels, but I've always been stupidly paranoid about the Exactons because they're so curse word rare. So I went for something a little more readily available!

14x7 et18 ish

Here have some lame-*** overly-filtered instagram photos!

I thought I guessed some good fitment, looks like I was wrong!!! :( The photos are shown on the spare, and they have narrower tyres on than I wanted too.

People have been popping up all over with suggestions for 'mad camber' and stretched tyres but I'm not personally a fan of either of those, I want tread on the road and I also want a relatively era-correct look for the car too.

Now having to rethink everything, I'm considering some very subtle over-fenders but would prefer something made to fit than bolt on, my fabrication skills aren't up to par to completely make something myself, at least not to my level of perfection I'd want  so does anyone have any good suggestions for similar fender-flares that could be modified to fit? I'm not sure too if I'd then need some subtle skirts to tie it all in too

I imagine the wheel arches are a very similar size to both the 2G and 3G Preludes?

I've had a quick look online and found a 2G with over-fenders but the image quality is awful, they look like they're made to fit but then riveted at the bottom which I've never personally seen before!

Correct me if I'm wrong in my judgement of that? I've never looked into over-fenders or flares too much before...

As an idea I'd prefer this look:

To this look:

I'm not sure where to even start looking tbh. I'd be massively grateful for any suggestions that may help or give me some inspiration

And for anyone wondering the wheels are the Lotus Eclats, they're 14x7 and measured them at et18 but may be a few mm out. The 4x114.3-4x100 adapters convert them to et-2 based on the estimated offset measurement.

Decided on my over fenders and bought them the other day...

I think there'll have to be a bit of minor cutting and smoothing too as they seem to flick to the bumper/ splitter in most images, although the one at the scrapyard wasn't at all like that so I don't know. I haven't even seen the ones I've bought so I hope they're ok....

-------------------------------------------------------

They came! One is a little damaged but nothing that can't be sorted, just a few chips...

They have all come off of different cars too. Ordered them Monday evening so how they walked round, picked the best, got them off carefully, packaged and posted them and had them arrive from Cornwall to near Cambridge in pretty much 2 days is unreal!!!

Sorry the pictures aren't great and I was way too excited trying them against the car to get any pics - plus I'd worked up a sweat getting them unpackaged

I'll try to get some photos of them held up against the car tonight or over the weekend, but they fit fairly spot on all considered - excited!

Pictures are here!!! LOTS of them... Not great mind

First off this is how the wheels fitted on the spare with standard arches...

First image is the other side, so showing how it would usually look against the side that has them mocked up!

Decided the best option is to make them all two piece flares, so one part attaches to the wing and the other to the bumper, as it means less flex if anyone bumps into the bumpers at any point as the flares are only fibreglass, and it just looks better IMO.

Have taken the rear lip off a Prelude bumper and basically cut the f*** out of it to make it line up with mine but not sure if I'm going to use it yet... Depends how it'll look when painted. :?

Cool updates Becca. Car's coming along nicely. Please do keep us updated. It's a very exciting build.

Thanks guys! My wing turned up from Germany yesterday. It's just an OEM EF wing but I mainly bought it to see what modification is involved to make it fit before I buy a bigger and better one - there's not really anything available just for the Aerodeck unfortunately so everything is pretty much buy something for something else and make it fit :p
