I have owned my Accord type S since April 2024, I purchase from TGT. Overall I find the car great. But I am unsure of a few technical specs, the car is a 2012 model with sat nav, my question is does this have a amplifier and if so where will I find it?
And I do not think it has ‘Adaptive cruise control’
Any CW2 owners give me any advice please.
Also if anybody could help identify which bumper retainer clips go where, regarding the front bumper specifically the underside, I have looked at various parts diagrams but still confused.

Thanks Keith

Welcome, hope you are enjoying your car

I have a CU2 (saloon), UK supplied but it's mostly the same

The audio system I have a lot of experience with (for better and for worse!) - the system is slightly different in the JDM car to my UK supplied one (the components are all in th same places but they are slightly different running Japanese software). The amplifier is located under the boot floor for the tourer I believe (I have a saloon and mine is in the side of the boot behind a panel)

Be warned - trying to replace the audio system is not for the faint of heart - if you can make do ,I would just recommend putting a bluetooth/AUX adapter in the centre arm rest and leaving it at that. But if you are determined this info should help - https://typeaccord.co.uk/board/thre...y-sat-nav-with-an-aftermarket-head-unit.27082 - the UK model has slightly different connectors from photos i've seen online of the JDM audio unit but it should be mostly there. There are various chinese android units sold online claiming to work but from what i've seen they don't control the amplifier properly (the key problem is the volume level is controlled via a digital signal sent to the amp, not just a basic increase/descrease of line level volume).

Adaptive cruise control - I think it's called "ACC" in Honda parlance - do you have a button/light that says that?

For parts - best place to go to look at the parts diagrams is amayama.com (especially for JDM supplied cars like yours) - you can get the correct parts by inputting your VIN, although i've noticed for some JDM cars it will bring back a parts diagram with Japanese text

This European model pages should help you out with regards to the clips - there are a few slightly different sizes

You can find a lot of info about these topics by havign a look in the service manual here https://typeaccord.co.uk/board/thre...op-manual-esm-on-windows-11.26630/post-266580 it's for european cars but the accords "euros" were all built in the same factory Japanese or not so 99% of things are the same

That's awesome, many thanks @btjtaylor, i did look in the boot when i first got the car, but will have a better look on the weekend. I am enjoying the car, and have installed a Tunia Firefly allready, and hapy with streaming music from my mobile. Not too bothered about the Japanese time, it's quite funny when people get in my car and they ask 'is that really the time'
Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it.
