Bought a 1997 Accord saloon 2.0i ES, the six CD changer was working okay but one day it said "CD EEE", whatever that means. I switched to radio and now it won't do anything when I press the "TAPE CD" button, just stays on the radio. When I turn the car on I can hear the CD changer whirring in the back though. I tried disconnecting the battery and putting the terminals together but it still won't switch to the CD player. I've heard it could be a loose connection but how would I go about trying to fix this? I have an aftermarket JVC radio/CD player which takes mp3 CDs that I would stick in if I could - is this feasible? There doesn't appear to be any way to detach the existing CD player with the keys one would normally use with a car.
