I really hate this chrome strip on the bonnet, part of the grill.
I want to remove it but I'm scared of what I might find underneath.

Is it a simple bonding job or will it require respraying once removed?

Has anyone done this and possible shed some light on it please.

Thanks

Do you mean the hole grill or just the Honda badge.
If it's the grill then removel is a bumper off job and a replacement grill will be needed like lots of members has done.
I'm sure this applies to the 7th gen as this is for my 8th gen.
I'm not 100% but the Honda badge is bonded on and you can be badge it.

Sorry I meant the Chrome strip on the bonnet.

Removal is easy open bonnet and you will find 4 or 5 dome nuts remove but prob rusted so will break
Pull off trim.but you will be left with 4 or 5 holes and a lower area where trim is located.

First mod I did. I colour coded the grill and chrome bit on the bonnet. Looks so much better in my eyes

as said easy to remove but bolts will snap, so soak for few days before. No need to remove chrome, just sand key, plastic /etch primer and away you go. Looks great

I just ordered the colour coded bonnet strip from Honda as the Euro r has coloured strips rather than chrome. Only cost £38

Really! That's a good price.

Is that for the bonnet strip as well as the grill strip? For the sake of £15 i'd just do it yourself to be honest. I put a guide up on here somewhere.

I'm about to replace the chrome bonnet strip with the euro r colour coded one I got from Lings. What should I be soaking the dome nuts in please?
