Hi all. My Accord diesel has done 180k miles and 99% on miles are on the motorway. Yesterday my DPF and a ! came up on my dash as I was on the motorway. I have never used cheap fuel so was a little surprised. It lost power, as the book says it will but also cruise control stopped working as well. Is this normal? Are they linked? I was hoping I have an electrical fault as opposed to a DPF problem.
Thanks

I think it's linked to the DPF so you'll need a new one or a DPF delete. The DPF does have a shelf life so it's like brake pads and will need changing.

Thanks. Best start looking around. This is going to be expensive.

Replied to your pm Stephen.

Yes it's linked and your green gear shift indicators will also have stopped working

I thought it might be but hoped that it was not and that maybe there was a fuse gone or something.

Thanks

Hi all, Could a cracked EGR pipe cause the DPF to be more prone to block?

Regards

It will be fuelling higher, but honestly these cars need no help in having blocked dpf's
