My DPF is most likely done. It keeps sending the car in emergency program showing the DPF-clogged-warning in the info display.

I have found an original used DPF with only 10.000 miles driven and I can have it for 350 pounds

What are the pros and cons - except the fact that is not brand new and costing 2000 pounds?

There is no simple answer to this. It’s like asking how long a piece of string is. 10k miles with local driving and poor fuel being used is likely as bad as one that’s got 80k miles and has been driven on the highway with decent fuel.

If you’re going down this route you’re better of having yours cleaned and get a warranty. Otherwise replace with a brand new genuine Honda item.

The old one has been cleaned by proffesionals but still seems to fail.

Then replace with a new genuine one. I would also consider replacing the differential pressure sensor at the same time, it could possibly be slightly blocked causing incorrect differential readings.
