Just fitted front brake pads and discs on my 2009 Accord Tourer 2.2 iDTEC 150hp (single pot, 296mm discs).

The two pads that clip inside the calliper pistons appear to be handed - there's a wear indicator (or are they anti-squeal springs?) on one side of the inner edge.

Can anyone confirm which goes the left and which goes on the right? Photo below not my pads (I went Mintex), but similar.View attachment 678

Wear indicator goes on the inside.

Wear indicator goes on the inside.

It can only go on the inside - it's on the pad with the clip that goes inside the piston. Question is, should it be top or bottom as you look at the caliper - they're left and right handed presumably for a reason but will fit on either side of the car.

Found an official pic in the Workshop Manual - it shows the wear indicator in the calliper overhaul diagram, strangely not mentioned in the pad inspection and replacement section. Thanks again Stelllamon.Clipboard-2.png
