Car
Accord 2.2
After 13 years of ownership, I will be selling the 2.2 Gen 7 EX.

I have enjoyed driving the car, hence why I kept it for so long.
On long runs I could get 60mpg plus on the motorway.

Never failed to start except when the battery was dead, which has been twice.
Very reliable engine. I was expecting the worst when I read some posts here.

A few current issues:

Air con doesn't work. Needs a new compressor.
Clock display drops out.
No bluetooth. Was draining battery
Voice commands aren't being recognised.
VSA error. Needs a refurbed module.
Power steering fluid has leaked out. Needs new pipe.
Black smoking on load. Injector cleaner is a temporary fix.

I always serviced it on time and used the correct oil, perhaps why the car has been reliable.

The car still looks modern to me, but the technology has moved on leaps and bounds.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Very curious, what car are you buying?

I'm in similar situation, 2.2 gen7 I've owned for 12 years. Car has been always serviced on time and never let me down, at 176k miles now. I have only two issues:
-Air con not working
-Clock dropping out

The car still drives great and interior feels pretty fresh. MPG also very healthy.

I would keep the car a few more years if I could fix the Aircon, but haven't been successful in doing that. It won't turn on. Compressor is working, fitted a new condenser and pressure switch. Tried replacing the air conditioning controls panel but the one I got from breakers wouldn't work with the car despite looking identical. Auto electrician can manually start the system and it works. He has tried entirely bypassing the controls and putting an on/off switch in my car but system has kept overheating.

I'm looking at changing to Lexus CT200h now.
