I only want to tighten it a bit so 7-8 clicks stops the car from rolling.

156k miles.

Read all the threads and responses (here and elsewhere) about difficulties getting under the armrest console or doing it through the adjuster access hole with jacked wheels and have watched videos on both.

Jacked the car up, on stands both sides, wheels off.

First thing was both disc hubs have no rubber bung and think they only come with original discs as these are replacements (the old binding callipers scoring the discs) and previous mechanic didn't think to swap bungs.

If I'd known would have had new shoes, etc. installed at same time. Also, if calliper goes on one side do both as other side probably not far behind! and then you're replacing another disc and pad set!!

The main meat of this post though was that videos of Accords show that the toothed adjuster wheel is routinely accessed (with hole) at 6 o'clock, but my adjusters were both at 12 o'clock. SMH. So, inexperienced, lying down rotating hub pointing torch wondering where wretched adjuster was on first wheel.

Can shoe sets be installed rotated 180 degrees?

Furthermore, I watched the videos and followed the right direction to tighten the adjusters (having taken into account the apparent 180 degree installation rotation) only to find it slackened them off.

Is it possible to put those barrel adjusters in reversed?

Found replacement bungs (cap, maintenance hole) here but can't add them to basket (having set up an account) https://www.parts-honda.uk/honda-cars/***ignment_spare_parts/42511SP0000

Anyone used that site successfully?

Advice/suggestions appreciated, thanks.

I tightened mine through the adjustment through the access panel in the bottom of the armrest console - I did struggle at first using a normal ring spanner but I got a ratchet spanner on it and that helped me maintain tension tightening it up

I believe the saloon adjustment is different though

I've attached the instructions from ESM if it helps - tourer I believe is "Rear drum in disc brake type"

With regards to "parts-honda" i've not ordered through that site - the prices are the same as my local main dealer from what I've seen so I just order through them on the phone and collect - or amayama.com if you want it cheaper and are not in a hurry
