HFT Echo: Fault or Feature?

I'm told by people I talk to on the phone that they get a horrible echo from the handsfree (it sounds ok from my end).

I've changed phones recently and the issue remains, so I'm guessing it's the HFT.

Not having anything to compare it to, I don't know if this is as good as it gets, or if it's faulty. How does everyone else's sound?

It's not serious as I don't like using the phone when driving, and the echo usually promotes a quick conclusion to the conversation!

Mine is fine. Much better than my wifes CRV which seems to cut out every second word. The interface is a bit clunky though and the voice dialling can be infuriating especially when it randomly deletes all your voice tags.
