I’m at a loss now, how the hell do I change the time on my clock?

2006 accord type s
Hi guys, I have a 2006 accord CL7. I have a higher trim model, the one with the touchscreen centre console. Similar to many Accords of this kind, it the Map satnav doesn’t work, and displays a DVD disc read error whenever you click on info, map, menu etc. above the touchscreen lives a second mini screen displaying the radio and clock.

For the life of me, I can’t honestly remember the how to change the clock. I’m certain I’ve done it before, and it was actually pretty straightforward. I’ve looked through the owners manual. Of course, it tells me for my type of car, the time will be set automatically, without me having to do anything myself, but of course, the GPS doesn’t work so this is not possible. I’m convinced it’s doable in just the press of a button or two, the clock starts flashing, and then you can change it, with the tuning knob I think.

I’d be really grateful if someone could remind me how to do this without having to access the GPS/touchscreen as only the AC and the audio controls appear on the touchscreen as they don’t require the DVD disc. Thanks guys. Here’s a link to a google drive photo of my setup, as it’s too big to add as an attachment apparently. My centre console

Make sure the read error is not something easy like dust on the DVD reader lens. The disc is dual layer so more sensitive to having a bit of fluff in the way. The next solution people here have posted is to buy a DVD reader from a (UK) breaker's yard.

A fix for DVD players is to use a piece of spaghetti with a bit of cotton wool attatched.

(or a long cotton wool bud, but where to get ones that don't shed debris inside the carriage mechanism ) ?
