Hi All

I've had my 2.4 Type S for a couple months now and i'm really enjoying it. I have a few questions however.

1) I've noticed that the battery that has been installed is only a 36Ah, is this the correct battery as it seems kind of small for this type of car?
2) What is the best auto gearbox oil to use?
3) Suggestions on best spark plugs?

I've attached some photo's of the car now i've managed to get it clean lol :)

They don’t have a big battery on the petrol engines so probably fine if you’re not having any issues

Only use genuine Honda ATF, it’s not very expensive.

Stick to genuine Honda plugs

Thanks for the details Fahad. As long as the battery holds up under UK winter conditions then cool lol.

I have a UK market 2.4 but its the same car for the most part

Basically what Fahad has said, I can add from experience:

Battery: OEM spec battery (part number 31500-S3N-G51) is 45ah 330cca so yours is a little under but not by miles, if you are not having problems it's fine so I would only change it if its very old or you're having issues with it going flat etc. I recently replaced mine with a Yuasa YBX3053 (45AH 400CCA) as I had a horrible cheap "LION" brand battery that was starting to fail.

Spark plugs: OEM honda spark plugs were extremely expensive last time I looked, so I personally used Denso plugs (model number SXU22HCR11S). You can also use NGK ILZKR7B11GS. The Denso were about half the price. Denso and NGK make OEM plugs for Honda, depending on the model, so you shouldn't have any issues. I would avoid other brands though. The plugs that came out my engine said DENSO on them anyway (although I can't guarantee they were the originals, my car had been serviced at a Honda main dealer)

Photos aren't working, would love to see your car!

I'll most likely go for the NGK plugs in that case as they are made by HKS Japan so are of good quality. Thanks for the details on the battery i will just see how it goes in the colder weather :)

I just noticed the photo's didn't show up which seemed weird, i'll try it again

seems the images are to big.....what size do they need to be to upload them into the thread?

I use imgur.com then insert them with the "link" icon under attach image (or you can use the bbcode option from imgur "share links")
