hi can anyone tell me how much it will be to get a key recoded from honda,i have just noticed that my spare key doesnt fit the car and the blade on the key doesnt look like my other one,so i will have to buy a new key blade and a recode.Has anybody had this done from honda before. many thanks

Honda told me that they wouldnt just recode and replace a key then cut. They told me that I would need to buy a new key for nearly £300 to cut and code it!

I did find a place which did Honda keys (genuine) and he also said that he couldnt recode old keys but could supply and cut a new one for £120 and I did search a lot of places!

I'm interested in this as well. Got my car from a car supermarket and it only came with one key. As you say the price of £300 seems a little rich. NESH do you have details of the guy who'd do it for £120?

It was a locksmith in nottingham called 3d locksmith. 3D Locksmiths

Can u code the key from the ignition? I'm sure that I was able to do this in a Mondeo before. The procedure wasn't in the owners manual

Only on 6th Gen Accord apparently. People who can code the 7th gen keyfobs are like rocking horse poo!
