Today I lost my key for my Accord , luckily I have a spare key but I now want another key cut just incase I lose one again and then have no keys

Whats the cheapest option rather than going Honda main dealers

You can get a blank key from eBay. Just search Honda Accord key fob. And then find a place to cut it to match your existing key. Not sure how easy that will be though  . As for the remote locking, maybe a second hand key fob and then reprogram it to match your car. I'm not sure if Honda need to do that or if it's one of those open the window, get inside the car, hold down some buttons, wiggle your ears etc... You know what I mean. Those funny tricks that match a fob to the car.

Some people have had issues with keys cut at some cutting shops so I'd be careful about that. It might be worth enquiring at Honda to be honest, they said £120 for a new eighth gen key, a 7th might be a tad less?
Not too bad though

Indeed, £120 does sound a lot, but I guess you're paying for peace of mind aren't you.

I spent about £90 in total for a new key.

I got key/remote/transponder from ebay (£40) local locksmith to do the immobiliser and programming the remote lock

Dude who cut and programmed the key? My mate needs his doing and Leeds is local

Hey it was auto locksmith in bradford at bottom of white abbey road. His names Tahir seemed to be alright
I've used this guy before, he does good work. He made a key for my brothers civic

Honda is asking just under £200? I had my spare done from Honda, but eventually lost again, now only one lift need other one doing as well again..:-(, if paying more than £120, I would go to dealer, it's safer..
