2001 accord 2.0
Hey guys ! I've got the 2001 accord 2.0 SE vtec ! Was wondering if I have to buy coilovers for the accord specifically or is there any other models that use the same springs ? If so what? And where do I get them ? And if it does require accord specific coilovers where is the best or cheapest place.

Cheers
Kieran

Usually its model specific and with the 6th gen accord i dont think it shares the same platform as any other honda.

With regards the coilovers, it depends how much you want to spend. Coilovers arent cheap, approx around 500 to 600 quid for a decent kit.
Other options are lowering springs and retaining your existing dampers.

I use Miester R coilovers on my Honda prelude. A great set, had them for 5 years now.
Other makes are D2 coilovers, Tein just to name a few.

Best lowering springs i know are Eibach springs. Although not sure if they stil make a set of your model.

Check here for miester R - speak or email Jerrick, very helpful guy.

Hope it helps

Coilovers would be a bit overkill on an SE unless you want to sit really low. But if you want really low you're better off with bags.

Do you just want the look of a little drop?

The cheapest way is a set of springs. I've got Eibachs on the Type R and they're fannytastic. 30mm drop, a little harder and much improved handling.
