Been thinking about getting myself a machine polisher for a while. Seen this deal at toolstation which looks pretty good:

and the polishing pads are quite reasonable too. Dont fancy paying a tenner or so for a bit of sponge from the detailing websites and £100+ on a machine.

What do you guys think? Only thing now is what polish/compund to use. Any suggestions???

I am completely new to this so am wary of damaging the paint. As long as I keep the pad moving across the paint so as to keep heat build up low and not use too much pressure at all I should be ok right???

Dont go anywhere near a rotary if you have no experience. You will either spend the rest of time polishing out buffer trails or do some damage to your paintwork.

What you need is a dual action polisher. It is nearly impossible to damage your paint with one.

I would recommend this kit, It comes with a very good DA and Sonus pads are very good. menzerna polish is not to abrasive which is perfect for thin Honda paint.

This kit has everything you need. All i would add is some detailing tape.

By the time you add all the pads and polish you would be looking at around £100 anyway. You are better off spending a little more and doing it properly.

Guys also dont forget we have a discount code as well for clean your car

Took your advice guys and went for a proper DA.

DAS6 Pro, couple of lake country pads, menzerna polish, all came in around £134 delivered which is a good price i think. Hopefully should be here during the week and will be able to use it over next weekend. B) B)
