My Accord Type-S gearknob no longer shines and there's yellow patches on it. It looks as if the lacquer or something has worn off. What's best to restore that shine?

BTW - Did you really think of something else when you saw the topic ***le??? :

You need to polish your knob...

:p

A good job for a female to sort out :) they are good at that sort of thing

The Type S knob is a cheap alternaive to that found on the proper Type R models ( DC2 Integra, Accord Type R ) which are ***anium.

I've just bought an Accord Type R knob for my Type S but I will need some work as the Accord is a 5 speeed, not 6

Your Type S knob is cheaply made alloy then laquered so you're best removing it and then getting it buffed to bring up a deeper shine than it came from Honda. Enough time and effort and it can be shined up to a mirror finish.
