power fold mirrors

just bought a rover 600 with power fold mirrors which are made by honda as is most of the car but the mirrors keep going until they point the wrong, is there some sort of stop peg or button which could have broken . the car was meant for jap export back in 1999 but deal fell through so they were sold off here with the jap spec, the english rover 600 didn't have power fold mirrors

most power mirrors i have seen have a stop built into the motor so they cant normally be repaired

You need to retrain it. Move it to the normal position by hand.
Use the button and when it stops move it back to normal by hand. After 3 or 4 goes it will do a double shuffle and sort itself out.
If that fails I can sell you a pair.
