Hi

What about the replacement of the fuel filter on petrol 2.0 or 2.4 VTEC Gen7?

Is it an easy job?

Thanks

Hi Alan its not an easy job as you will need to be very careful of the petrol fumes. There was a diy by a previous member but he left and took his photos with him.
I will try and find it for you.

Hear you go this might help :) http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/5735-7th-gen-petrol-fuel-filter-change/

No probs Alan the photos are missing but it still will give you a good ideal mate.

Id also ask your self if its really worth doing unless theres an obvious problem? Ive done it before on high mileage cars that had never had it done and it didnt make any difference to performance or mpg.

I know this is old but found this thread which has the photos included if im not allowed to post links to other Forums my bad and please delete

AOC...

But again, the photos will be missing for AOC non-members. It was actually same guy who wrote both these linked how-to threads.

And he is now back ;)

Drop member cliffordski a line, maybe he will be kind enough to re-post his good work.

looked everywhere & can't find the memory stick with the pics on  ....i'll take some more next time i do the job

TBH the pics mostly show getting the filter in & out the car which is the easy bit

the fiddly bit is taking the parts off the old filter unit and putting them on the new one and the biggest help for that is the diagram of the fuel filter & components on the Lings Honda Parts website.

70K Services its overlooked very often :( anyway he's a few pic's of the last filter did for a customer

Always disconnect the battery and open the filler cap on the fuel tank first :p

A selection of O-rings an gaskets are included with a new filter so its advisable to replace them all, its pretty easy to see where the new ones should go  just sorry this process is not better illustrated

Great job Stu so much better than just copying instructions straight from manuals as per some other sites
