spare wheel securing

Afternoon gents

I have a full size spare wheel rattling about in my 04 diesel tourer, does anyone have the part numbers for the securing /clampdown bolt and washer, (they are showing in the Lings diagram L29 but not in the price menu ).

Alternatively, do the securing bolts/ washers for any of the other models ie civic have the same thread and the same fit.

I just rummaged around my garage until I found a bolt that fitted and drilled a hole in a metal bar and that was enough.

I packed mine with an old bath towel, handy for hand cleaning should the need arise.

My 8th Gen spare is held in place with an M8 x 80mm bolt. I can't promise the 7th gen is the same, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't...

Thanks for the replies gents, I've got it packed out with towels but it is moving vertically, very bad roads here the 8 mm bolt option seems the way to.

8mm bolt sounds right. I just used a standard bolt as I knew the Honda toolkit has a 13mm spanner in it which I will always have handy to undo it.
