right after searching alot for alloys for 7gen accord iv decided to get these wheels:

scwert1.jpg

they are Work Schwert SC1 alloys, i want them in 18", the only thing is that they are less common to come by then chicken teeth,i tried everywhere in the uk...even thought of importing them but they worked out to be 3000 gbp.... :blink: so anyway after hours of searching, reading and following links(and not to mention lack of sleep...lol)i managed to find these:

maxxim_ferris_lg_super.jpg

they are the maxxim(sub company of konig)Ferris wheels, they are the closest thing iv found to the works alloys(i think)...they are 660.00gbp and are based in Manchester by a company called wheelbase...
so guys i would like to hear your opinions...do they look similar,will they suit, etc, every comment is most welcome guys...also im thinking about getting them in 18'' here is the wheel spec:

* Size : 18 Inch
* Bolt Pattern : 5x100 - 5x114
* Offset : 45
* Finish : Black with Machined Face

or their link: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/__833

can you guys help me know if they would fit my accord as i have no idea about wheel specs regarding the accord(a bit stupid i knowww...lol)
so can you tell me if the fit, will they clear the brakes and anything else you can tell me.......lol...
just like to say your help guys is always greatly appriciated..thanks again...mo...

what width are they? generally stay clear of 9" width, as standard offset is 50 so 45 is ok but again depends on width.

I've got 18*8 on 225/40 with an offset of 45 and lowered about 4cm and it doesn't catch.....however if you go 235 tyres then i don't know

brakes won't be a concern at all since you're going bigger

sorry alnug have no idea about the width, :blink: did look on their website but no information regarding the width.... :lol: hmmmmmm, i guess the offset is the same as your alnug, and im also going for a 3.5mm all round drop(but remember fahad mentioning to me that the front drops more cos it heavier on diesel)

right just spoke to a very nice guy called dave who said " they are 8 by 18 " if that helps alnug(also they goona take about 4-6 weeks to arrive from the states...)

Mo you'll just about be ok with an 8x18 and ET45 rim as long as you are running the correct 225/40/18 tyres, and don't lower the car by a ridiculous amount. I think you'll be fine mate, go for it.

cool...so 225/40/18 for the correct tires, il remember that bro.....thanks for that fahad, im only trying to achieve a drop so the arches have 1 finger gap between them and the tire, so with 18 i think i should achieve that with 3.5mm drop...right??? also cant go too low s the humps(more like mountains) will take the whole underside of the car off....!!!! :D IT STARTED THAT ON THE DC2, kept hitting exhaust....but with the accord nothing too serious bro...

try konig uk, they should be able to drop ship within a few days rather than waiting 4-6 weeks. Should easily be in stock for such a common size.

prob one with lip kano....thanks johnk....sorry alan meant 35mm ooops....lol...(or maybe could go on fat only diet), yeah good idea blue gonna try them now,need more happy thought after the vsa day today...

no konig uk, they all seem to be in the states blue...i done the map locater it nearly crahed my computer with the amount of miles it had to calculate from my house to their nearest store...lol

cant wait to get them kano.... cant stop thinkin about them ....lol...is anyone on here fom manchester or that way....??

lol....im gonna have to wait for a bit..... :lol: as there is little funds at the mo.....but they are the horizon...lol.... :D

weird, they did used to have a warehouse down south where they would drop ship within a few days. This was probably a good few years ago so they have have just flitted the uk and stuck with using distributors instead. Try some reputable wheel specialists to see if they can get you a set quicker from the uk. There must be some business somewhere in the uk with these wheels in stock.

Mo, I think Wheelbase are Oldham, not Manchester - they're one of the oldest in the business.. I remember visiting them when I was a Uni student and was looking for rims for my GTI cabrio...

thats is fahad, did you get the alloys you wanted from them...???how was customers service etc,any problems regarding them bro....(its kind of a long drive to find out when i get there...lol)

thru but their originals in mint... and awesome offset and width... but yeah i see where ru coming from... ill still keep a look out for some good ones at good prices

I never bought them mate - I was a student remember ;)

any luck finding a set of the konigs?

the only maxxim ferris ones(konigs)i could find where at wheel base, iv found an american comapny that can ship it to me, shaving of near 200.00 ponunds of the 660.00 qouted by wheelbase in oldham, but i dont want any hassle|(if any arrive damaged or slighty wonky,etc you get the picture)id rather do the trip to oldham get the wheels(maybe even fitted and balanced with tires)then check out the other accord members on tye way....sounds more fun too....lol

you'd get stung with import taxes with the wheels too, negating the 200 saving. I'd just get them from wheelbase if i were you. They've been around for yonks and are a well established company

yeah you right blue, have you had any dealings with wheelbase,fahad also mentioned that they been around for yonks too...so far so good with them i guess, also the guy sounded like he knew what he was on about when i asked about the wheel of set etc and negative camber...just needs a wee bit more funds lol,thanks for the info blue dont know much about import tax either.....
