Type S Ambient Footwell Lighting

Hi All,
I have a late 2013 black Type S that I am very happy with, except for one small issue.
The Type S as standard has red footwell ambient lighting that is activated when you enter the car and also when you switch off the engine.
The red led switches off when the ignition is switched to on, and also switches off when the keyfob locks the doors - so no ambient light when driving.
However, I want to have the ambient light on when driving............

Has anyone been able to overcome this, or point me in the right direction??

I know there is an OEM aftermarket kit that illuminates when driving but is only suitable for standard cars not Type S, and this plugs in under the dash. I popped off the under dash panels and the connectors for the aftermarket kit are non existent on the Type S!!!! probable because there are lights already fitted. If the connection was there I could just plug in..

That odd.

My '10 Type S Tourer is the oposite. Lights are on when headlights are on but don't come on when doors are open. At least I don't think they do. I'll have a look in the morning and report back.
