Water in spare wheel well (ES Tourer)

Hi there,

I noticed there is some dampness in the boot spare wheel well. There isn't any standing water, whatever got in is absorbed by the small carpet trim piece underneath the tire.

Is there any common cause with these leaks? There is no sunroof so obviously not the roof drain.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I found that when I had water ingress it was due to a rubber grommet at the back part of the boot that had worked itself loose. Would be worth a check especially if you have rear parking sensors fitted.

I sealed the channels that the roof rails mount on 2 weeks ago and it seems to have stopped my leak into the boot well. We had a few rainy days in Glasgow this past week and it's still dry in there
