Hello, could any of you knowledgeable chaps tell me, is it worth me considering a set of wheels for my tourer. They are 19 inch, 8.5j, et 37. I realize they may alter the ride, but I don't want them protruding beyond the arches. I don't want to detract too much from standard looks, but would like to fill the arches a bit better. All advice will be gratefully received, thanks, Rod.

edit: just realized you've got an 8th gen so this may all be invalid
they will stick out, I had to roll my fenders for 8j et35 and they would still rub the liner from time to time. at 19 inches you also have less sidewall to play with for tucking the tire shoulder in with stretch
it can be done with a camber kit, here you have a few options..
spc adjustable ball joints front and rear upper, or the venerable skunk2 front upper wishbone with adjustable ball joint

I think you'd get away with them, but they'd need low profile tires which would make the ride more uncomfortable. I'd also fit narrower tyres ie: 225/40/r19 .
The recommended offset on an 8j 19 inch wheel is 45, so with the 37 on yours it gives you 8mm less to the arch. The extra half inch wheel width you will have ie: 12.5 mm puts you 6.5mm closer to the arch but after subtracting the 8mm you should be 1.5mm further in.
– Center Bore: 64.1 mm
– PCD: 5x114.3 (5x4.5)
– Wheel Fasteners: Lug nuts
– Wheel Tightening Torque: 108 Nm
– Thread Size: M12 x 1.5
– Trim Production: [2008 .. 2011]
