Battery light

I have a Honda Accord 55 plate, diesel

I have a red battery light appearing on my car today whilst driving.

Any advise best way to find out what could be wrong.

I would suggest, either battery or alternator, at first site.

Most likely alternator not charging - although obd reader should pick up a fault code as mentioned
