My 2003 2.4L Accord is making a grinding noise that isnt quite constant. More it makes the sound for a second, then is quite for a second.
I have looked at videos what a bad alternator bearing sounds like and its very close to that sound.
But what i dont understand is why would the sound start only after the engine has been running for a while. Im not sure how long it takes but the noise doesnt start right when i start the engine, maybe a minute after.
The air con being on or off doesnt affect the sound and neither does turning the wheel (powersteering), but since my steering is stiffer than usual so its harder to turn i also suspsect it could be the ps
