cam belt change

Hi

I have my eye on another Honda.

1) I was wondering what the cam belt change interval was

2) Is it a DIY job ?

3) Anyone know typical charge at a garage?

1) 5 years or 100k km.

2) Its DIY job if you know what are you doing.

3) 250 - 450 GBP (dont know prices in uk in europe is something like that).

Actually just checked today at a Honda Dealer - £210 parts, labour and VAT.

That's what mine was done at (well a little bit before), although sometimes they revise service schedules. I just popped that one up as you can see other service information on it if its of any use.

The road tax though made me smile - £285 - a third of the value of the car. Crazy world we live in.

Yeah my 1850cc is in the that VED bracket, for me its now cheaper to insure my car than it is to tax it and won't be long till its cheaper to buy it than tax it .

Just had mine booked in too, £288 it cost me. Was shocked with the TAX when I picked mine up
