Jon tbh I never turn it up late at night or in my area as it a) attracts unwanted attention and b) is highly disrespectful to neighbours etc but yes it is so loud the windscreen actually flexes lol. Steve, Brett, Thomas along with alot of other members that came to the accord meet heard it want even allowed to turn it up so went to like 50% lol
over time a continuous high load will affect the windings (by heat in the copper) and the electronics (by heat in the diode junctions)
i.e. although the alternator is rated to deliver 100 amps, that is only during brief periods when the battery has been drained on a long cranking during cold weather followed by driving in cold weather with all the electrics on. The designers of the alternator did not expect it to have to deliver 100 amps to power a 1000W amp.
