DIY VTEC light

Ah no, I would never try do that. I love ambition give it a go type of people ideas!!! I'm just trying to set an expectation that's all.

If you want to do this, you'll need to do the following:

1. Remove the cluster
2. Split the cluster (about 10 clips)
3. Remove the front clear plastic cover
4. Remove the rear plastic cover
5. the PCB and the guage dial are bound together, don't try to remove it you'll damage the dials

Now, the trick is to get some space where you can put the LEDS to emit the two-tone lights - there ain't a lot of space in there. I've a type-S which has red dials anyway, but if you've an exec then the dials are white. You'll need to get some red LEDs in there, as a suggestion, use the top of the guage to project a red-light onto the dials. Not sure how this would look on the dials, but I'm sure if you use enough red LEDs, it'll go red.
