Downsides of Induction Kit and other Q's

Bought one of those cheap CAI second hand from ebay. But I would prefer to just use the plastic OEM piping rather then the metal piping, but the end bit is oval and i cannot fit cone filter, anyone know if there is any adapters or hacks to get this on?
Cheers
Sorry to resurrect old threads but does anyone have an answer to this question? i.e. can I just buy a cone to replace existing airbox (which is situated in bumper on 02 1.8???)

Nope you can't, you will need after market piping which you can DIY.

when i fitted a Fujita one to my old 2.0 it was addictive, very loud though, certainly turned some heads in V-tec!!

guys just little advise: u could use some thermal wrap used on manifolds to wrap your tube into it to stop air getting heated while traveling to engine ;) also CAI users use hydroshield :) and CAI get better response in high end revs (not noticeable when in VTEC) and short ram gets better response in low revs. (noticeable)
