Hello,

I'm having issues with a gearboxswap on my 2003 2.2i-ctdi diesel.
I'm swapping out my awd6, 5speed box for a bwg6, 6 speed gearbox.
Fits like a glove, but the only problem I'm having is electric power.
On the side of de 6 speed box there is a solenoid to lock out the reverse.
The problem I'm having is the wiring loom.
I'm missing a piece of cable, the 2006-2007 have those, the 2003-2005 don't.
Is there anyone here breaking a diesel accord from 2006-2007? So I can buy the wiring loom :)
Or is there someone that has an other solution to the problem I'm having.

Thx,

Kurt

Here is the Revere Lockout System Description

At a vehicle speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more, a signal from the ECM activates the reverse lockout solenoid, which pushes the select lock cam and select lock pin into the locked position. As a result, the interlock cannot rotate to the reverse select position, making it impossible to engage reverse gear. At a vehicle speed of 15 km/h (9 mph) or less, the signal from the ECM is interrupted which turns off the reverse lockout solenoid. The return spring pulls back the select lock pin enabling the interlock to move freely so reverse gear can be selected.

The solenoid has a +12V feed from fuse 21 (under-dash fuse box) which goes to pin 2 of the solenoid socket, with pin 1 pulled to ground by the ECM (engine ECU). I doubt if the ECM in your car has this facility, so if the solenoid has to be energised to disable the reverse lockout, then you'll have to fit a switch and do it manually.
