...I swear I will end up in jail!

Car is now running and as stated before gearbox is fine :) no problems at all!

However my mechanic has called me down to another small problem. The previous idiotic mechanic has broken the speed sensor that goes at the front of the gearbox when taking it off!

Mechanic is now going to try and find one at trade price as Honda want £78 for the small black sensor with the 3 pins that goes into the gearbox!

Arghhhhhhh! Anyone know of any places that have them? ECP does not have them btw. Only good thing is the car works perfectly! Apart from the sensor

I have mate. Only £15 cheaper for a used one so just bought new from honda get it on Wednesday! I'm going to mechanic 1 tomorrow I'm going to punch him across his stupid face and do a fast and furious by drenching his sorry state in oil!

Rant over! Mechanic 2 could not have been any better, has done so many free things on the side that needed doing :) but this ordeal has cost me nearly £500. Lesson well and truly learnt!

I've spent £150 alone in petrol in 5 days! Time to bash someone's head in and stop driving lol

We'll Hamid you want be using the idiot again so that's one blessing.
If it's only £15 cheaper for a second hand sensor I would buy new mate

Calm down mate... you'll get yourself in trouble!

Why not use this forum to clearly name and shame the guilty garage, mostly to warn other members (but also for a little bit of well-deserved revenge).

And, in a similar way, give some kudos to the garage that's done a good job and sorted you out.

Very we'll put Jon

Exactly what I thought Brett so I payed honda earlier on for it. Not fussed about £15 to be honest.

Yeah I know Jon and once all work has been completed (Wednesday) I will name and shame the idiot and also sing the praises of the good mechanic!

Trying to stay calm at the moment. Also the idiot had badly threaded a hand full of the screws as he's forced them in so mechanic 2 has replaced them FOC. Top customer service is hard to find but I deserved it after what I've been through!

Moral of the story is don't go somewhere cheap! Never again will I make this mistake, but it's happened now and I can't do anything about it!

Blimey Hamid, what a mission! I had a similar thing many years ago with a Golf. Ended up telling everyone I met for the following month not to go to the Mill Gap VW Specialist in Eastbourne  .
