Injector Removal

Hi

Following on from my earlier thread of a few days ago.

Had anyone removed/replaced an injector from the diesel engine at all.

If so what make injectors are they and what tool did you use.

I have seen several different removal tool kits but don't want to by the wrong one.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have read soaking them in brake fluid helps buy not sure. Suspect you need to be careful not to get on body

Injector removal can be straight forward or a nightmare a lot of it is luck as well. Once the Torx bolt,clamp fuel pipe, leak off pipe and multi p,up are disconnected. Try moving the injector by gently twisting but watch the body. If the top moves but the body doesn't it is probably seized in the head. You can try soaking in brake fluid coca cola etc. but if that all fails then you will need a puller to get it out. There are the slide hammer types or the proper Honda one which is hydraulic. Both types will break the injector so you will be needing another injector.

best thing to do is when it starts chuffin get it changed straight away!!!!
happen to me from sea side to home 65 miles..
u can see the build up of sutt
lucky mine came out in one go.
i ordered 3 more copper washer keep safe
