I got back to my a car a couple of days ago to find that some upstanding citizen had tried to smash its mirror off, and the mirrors of other cars too:

I can get a replacement drivers' side mirror, but how easy is it to replace, taking into account the electrical wires and so forth? Also, the c**t in question also dented the front side panel, as can be seen here:

Looking in the wheel arch, it looks as if the back panel could be accessed by several screws that hold some plastic trim toward the rear of the arch. Anyone know if this is true, and whether it would be easy enough to push back out without specialist tools? Or would I be better taking it to a bodyshop? Thanks.

Sorry to hear that, what a bunch of scumbags.

The Wing mirror will be bolted on and the wires should be clips, it shouldn't be too hard I would imagine, have a look at the ESM.

The dent looks quite bad, I don't think that can be pushed out so simply, you might need some tools, I would go to some bodyshop and get some qoutes, its shouldn't be too expensive.
