I've had a droning at above 20-30mph that has been getting worse for the last c1k miles and appears to be amplified by boot or tank. Ordered a hub which won't be here for a few days yet, as ***umed it was the bearings on the way out. Had rear tyres changes this morning (and was perhaps hoping this was the cause) as they were below limit. Mechanic said, on basis of turning and trying to move wheel, that the bearing appeared solid with no play. I have a few 100s of miles driving planned for this week and ***ume this will be safe, if noisy. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
