i have a side light bulb blown so im thinking of going down the LED route for the replacement.

as there are loads to choose from i just wondered which type people have fitted into their 7th gen accords?

there seems to be 2 styles of bulbs some that have more forward facing LED's like these -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-ERROR-FREE-CANBUS-501-T10-W5W-LED-SIDELIGHT-BULBS-/120708080990?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c1ac3255e

and some that have a single forward facing LED and lots around the sides like these -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250960314859?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

as the side light is long and wraps around the side of the light unit i just wondered which of the 2 would give the better look?

also what number of LED's have people opted for on each replacement bulb? i was thinking no more than 9 as i dont want them mega bright but i may be adding HID's soon so want them to look good along side these.

i know there are loads of LED threads on here and ive just spent ages reading through lots of them but none that ive read state which style replacement is better. can any one help me?

I would avoid the ones u have linked. Very similar to the ones I tried before and they were no good! Fitting is not snug and comes loose.

I'm using these

I've tried alot of LED's and these are by far
The best out the lot.

Have something similar to these and have lasted the longest.

in view of me ordereing HID's in the future do any of you have then fitted already?

if so which kit have you gone for? there are so many available......

there are some plug n play sets and some that need extra wire routing around the engine bay. i would prefer the easier plug n play if poss

I install 6000k hid kit.And ordered from car mods shop.Working very nice guys, give me warranty. After one year one of balasts stop working. So I give them a call and they send me new balast for free.I am very happy with this shop service. You can give them a call.

Well I've gone for a 6000k kit too, if possible get the slim ballast to save space. I would have ***umed everyone was selling slim ballasts but after ordering a kit for a mate we discovered they sent the more bulky one. Over all it really depends what your after, I've always bought cheaper kits and have never had a problem with them after years of use. Some prefer the likes of Phillips but personally I wouldn't be too bothered.

Try some of the Ebay sellers, they're usually good for a bargain! I'd just advise to stick with either a 4300k or a 6000k (***uming its for an Accord it'll be a H1 bulb type) , any higher and your lights just go blue, drawing the attention of the police.

Havn't had a problem, just pushed them in and checked they worked lol been in a good month, not come loose to my knowledge and they are the only set I have bought so nothing to compare them too!

LED's arrived and were fitted last night. im very happy with them. i really do need some HID's now though.....

I think they look awesome! They do look really bright though. Are they that bright when seeing them?

Hi all. A bit late for my reply (sorry), but I also used something cheap and cheerful from ebay (similar to http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/250960314859?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649) and they worked a treat. The only thing I had to do was to (slightly) push apart the thin metal contacts (increase the distance between them). They are best described as ice white when on. I also used the same in my rear number plate and it does look quite nice at night (not that I can actually see it) :D

I think it's these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261084045135#ht_3625wt_1095

But to me they look the same as all the other cheap crappy LED bulbs you find on eBay.

When the rain stops I will take a pic of mine as well for comparison - but at first glance, I must say that they don't look as good as Matt's.

The ones I got look very blue in my facelift plastics, so I've got some MTec bulbs to replace them with as I fear they may fail MOT as they currently are! Hopefully the bulbs will look white but not be giving off a pure white light so won't be filtered to blue through the blue plastics!
