So after throwing £1,500 at the car in 4 months I was hoping I wouldn't have any more issues but I do! I've noticed this behaviour in the last 2 months or so but when accelerating sometimes you can feel the gear changes and it pushes (maybe judders) the car. It's more noticeable in the lower gears. When braking the car pulls back when it changes down. It's not enough to hinder how the car drives but it is annoying.

I changed the oil and filter around 3 years ago and have done about 14k miles since. I actually changed it twice as I did it again 2 months after. Both the oil and filter were from Honda and I've had no issues until recently, it's always been very smooth. The level is ok and it's still a pink/red colour.

Could this just be wear and tear, the car has done 120k miles or someone mentioned to me the engine mounts? Anyone else had this before, what was it?

This issue seems to be getting worse. It doesn't do it all the time but is more noticeable when braking sharply and it has to change down quickly or when accelerating again once it's slowed down.

Is the position sensor or solenoids known for failing on the gearbox and would they give error codes even though the CEL has never come on?

Whoever told you it could be an engine mount either threw you a red herring, or was dead right ;)

I wouldn't be able to say which it is without being in the car, but, note also that both petrol version have an "active" damper on the front mount, thread here (from 4 years ago LOL) --> http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/13116-engine-mount-control/

If you're into DIY, you can read up on it by downloading the English-only version of the 7th gen ESM here --> http://typeaccord.co.uk/forum/topic/19286-haynes-us-accord-workshop-manuals/page-2
