I cleaned my intake intake flap thing at the weekend, it wasn't too bad and is possibly off a scrapper from the paint marks on it.
I noticed the butterfly flap is held on my two screws to the bit that moves it.
Has anybody tried running their cars without the butterfly in place? I get this p1237 low boost pressure, and supposedly the IMRC has fixed it, but it's still there. I know on my Saab and on BMW it is possible to remove these flaps if wanted. I know it would remove the flap being stuck if it was causing my low boost pressure.
Can it be done on the Honda engine.
Additonally the EGR valve has four torx screws on the top of it. What happens if I separate it at this point? Does it give access to cleaning it or does it knack it up?
