Clutch pedal possible leak

I was cleaning the inside of the motor today and I noticed a possible small leak under the clutch pedal and it looks like some grease on the clutch pedal piston, could this be a leaky cylinder, appreciate your thoughts.

looks like the father in law had greased/lubed the clutch pedal piston and looks like no clutch fluid is leaking so guess cylinder is ok.

He greased it to stop the dreaded clicking noise from the clutch pedal

There is a post about the clicking noise from the clutch master cylinder. Honda has upgraded master cylinder.
