Interior Light Dimmer Wire?

I'm about to plumb in a boost gauge, which has a feed to wire into the car's night-time dimmer function for the dash and other interior lights.

Does anyone know what wire to tap for that on a 7th Gen Facelift CTDi? There must be one somewhere, as the dials dim when the lights go on. Whichever wire 'switches' that dim function on is the one I need

Anyone got any ideas before I go digging with a multimeter?

It will probably go to the main control unit. I will say they are very sensitive and can burn out quite easily.

That said done right you should be fine.

t has its own control unit similar to an ecu. you maybe able to splice from there though

^ what he said .....it's called the MICU (multiplex integrated control unit) and it's on the back of the interior fuse block, but if I were you I wouldn't touch it, and pick up the main feed to the interior fuse block and put an inline-fused wire onto that
